Research on optimal concentration of national defense industry market based on economic performance
Abstract:
Based on the idea of satisfying the maximum corporate profits and maximum social welfare, this paper makes a theoretical study on the optimal concentration of China's defense industry market by fitting the demand function of national defense expenditure and the cost function of national defense industry enterprises to get the general expression of the optimal number of firms. Taking the listed companies of China’s aviation industry as an example,a systematic estimation of its market concentration is carried out. The results show that the optimal number of enterprises in China’s defense industry can get a definite numerical value according to the relevant data and the fitted parameters, and the optimal market concentration of China’s defense industry is moderately concentrated, and in special cases expressed as a complete concentration. When the optimal number of listed companies in China’s aviation industry is 14,it can meet the dual standards of maximizing corporate profits and clearing the market, and the market concentration is optimal.
