Spatio-temporal data is three-dimensional data with time, space and thematic attributes at the same time. In recent years, significant progress has been made in the field of spatio-temporal big data technology. Spatio-temporal big data has gradually been applied to battlefield situational awareness, assisting joint operations command decision-making, and promoting the rapid development of intelligent warfare. Based on the new requirements of future battlefields for situational awareness of integrated joint operations, the article discusses the feasibility of creating “a map of military combat resources" from three levels, including the construction of a spatio-temporal big data platform to support battlefield situational awareness, the expansion of spatio-temporal big data sources, and the optimization of the platform, to support situational awareness of integrated joint operations. In-depth analysis and key layout of spatio-temporal data structure, data platform and data analysis, and calculation methods are carried out. The article also provides technical and theoretical support for solving the problems of "where are the participating forces, what are the friendly neighboring forces that can be coordinated, and what are the military resources that can be used", and realizing joint operations based on spatio-temporal big data technology and global combat capabilities.
